How about a very different kind of monster? When I found this one in my bag of the Reaper Bones II Kickstarter, I was startled at first: Is this really a miniature or a molten lump of plastic garbage? This Faceless Horror figure only begins to look like something when you prime it and see more of its contours. But then, it looks scary as hell!
Now this is a real cool miniature I am very proud of – an Adult Red Dragon in Dungeons and Dragons, for which I used the Fire Dragon miniature from Reaper Bones. Just like the Young Fire Dragon, this beast called Inferno was part of an ambush group of Red Dragon Cultists hunting my players in the Tyranny of Dragons D&D campaign.
Time for some dragons! In the Tyranny of Dragons campaign, my players were to face at least one of each type of chromatic dragon. They already faced an Adult Green Dragon that I already posted some years ago. I didn’t have miniatures for all colors at that time, but I had some models for Red dragons. Here is the young fire dragon!
There comes a time in the life of a Dungeon Master, where your players are up against an undead wizard, a lich. These creatures are cunning opponents, often the big bad evil guy of an adventure or a whole campaign. My players were headed to Thay, where undead wizards reign supreme. A good excuse as any to use a lich miniature!
My players were headed to the tomb of the draco-lich Ebondeath in the Mere of the Dead Men in my Tyranny of Dragons campaign. I wanted to have a death knight there, and OF COURSE the Reaper Bones II Kickstarter also had a fitting miniature to offer here as well.
Are you tired of skeletons, yet? I have more of them as part of the Reaper Bones II Kickstarter. Because they are a little boring to post by themselves, I’ve put them together with repainted old D&D miniatures of skeletons: The Direguard from the Angelfire Set and Orc Skeletons from The Underdark Set.
More skeletons from the Bones II Kickstarter! This set featured skeletons with rags of armor. It included each one of Skeleton Guardian Archer, Spearman, Axeman, 2H Sword, and Sword/Shield combination. The minis look cool and are useful as standard monsters on the game table!
You can never have too many undead monsters for your players! Three Barrow Wardens were included in the second Reaper Bones Kickstarter – undead skeleton warriors with heavy armor and weapons. They can be used as advanced skeleton enemies and look really, really cool!
Not really an undead monster, but a very similar miniature than the last one. The Shadow Demon (77368) was also part of the second Kickstarter and came as a translucent purple miniature. I painted both of them more or less simultaneously, so here it is!
