More skeletons from the Bones II Kickstarter! This set featured skeletons with rags of armor. It included each one of Skeleton Guardian Archer, Spearman, Axeman, 2H Sword, and Sword/Shield combination. The minis look cool and are useful as standard monsters on the game table!
You can never have too many undead monsters for your players! Three Barrow Wardens were included in the second Reaper Bones Kickstarter – undead skeleton warriors with heavy armor and weapons. They can be used as advanced skeleton enemies and look really, really cool!
Coming up in my D&D campaign for Rise of Tiamat, I needed a couple of Yuan-Ti. In a time before WizKids Nolzur’s Miniatures, Reaper had some nice and cheap snakemen figures. I used the then new Bones Snakemen Warriors from the Kickstarter (77153) and some older models (02498) for my Yuan-Ti tribe
Let’s return to some unremarkable miniatures for once. Every so often, you need some ugly monsters for your players. Something like these Oozes, Slimes and Jellies from Otherworld Miniatures! Normally, you don’t really need miniatures for that kind of monster, more so now when everybody is playing online. But hey, I got them 7 years ago in a sale and sometimes, you only have one hour to paint.
Alester, “the Distant Light” is an old wandering priest of Lathander who condemns the corruption of his church in Iraebor and distrusts any authority figures. Alester’s player choose a picture of Ezren, an iconic wizard from the Pathfinder games as his character’s portrait, so naturally, we used the miniature of Ezren (89013) as well.
The party’s rogue is an assassin tiefling-like hybrid. Vinaya specializes in stealthy bow attacks, so the miniature should be female, stealthy and using a bow. Many Reaper miniatures fit that profile, but there was already one in my Bones 1 Kickstarter: Callie, Female Rogue (77033)!

The party’s druid is Lafisar the wood elf, a druid of the land circle. This is a druid who focuses on casting spells, so the miniature should look like a caster. It didn’t take long to find the perfect miniature in Elquin, High Elf Adventurer (77092).
The second warlock is a shield dwarf with a pact of the blade, serving the Archfey Cyramore (a winter prince). We’ve been looking for a fitting miniature for quite a while, but Cheiton (60122) from Reaper’s pathfinder range was a great match.
The group’s fighter is a female knight from the Order of the Iron Gauntlet, Elena von Greifenfels. She is travelling with her squire, Wilhelm. Reaper’s Alaine, Female Paladin (02725) and Sir William Peacemaker (02477) were perfect matches.
The next PC is The Red Raven, a Great Old One warlock. He’s wearing a breastplate and a red cloak. In pretty old miniature from Reaper, Elquin the Daring (02028), I found the perfect miniature for the character.
